Terms of Service

Sandrone is a free, personal project run for fun. These terms cover the use of the bot in any Discord server or installation.

Accepting these terms

Using Sandrone means you accept what is written here. If you do not, do not use the bot; if you administer a server, remove it.

Who can use it

You must meet the minimum age required by Discord's Terms of Service in your country, which is at least 13. Using Sandrone does not exempt you from Discord's rules, and breaking them is grounds for losing access here too.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the bot to harass, threaten, or abuse anyone;
• use it to post content that is illegal where you or the server are;
• deliberately spam commands, or automate them to exhaust rate limits;
• use /yt-dlp to fetch content you have no right to redistribute, or treat its hosted links as permanent or private storage; they are public to anyone holding the link and are deleted automatically;
• attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the bot or the host it runs on.

Age-restricted content

Some commands return adult content and are flagged as age-restricted. Discord enforces where and by whom those may be used. Running them outside an appropriate channel is a misuse of the bot and of Discord.

Availability

Sandrone is a hobby bot run on personal hardware. There is no uptime guarantee, no support commitment, and no promised response time. It may go offline, lose features, change behaviour, or be retired entirely, at any time and without notice.

Suspension of access

The owner may block any user, server, or installation from using the bot, for any reason, without notice or explanation.

No warranty, and limits on liability

Sandrone is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, the owner is not liable for any loss or damage arising from using it, from it being unavailable, or from anything it returns. Some commands relay content from third-party services, and the accuracy of that content is not guaranteed.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Third-party services

Several commands fetch data from services the owner does not run, listed in the Privacy Policy. Their terms apply to their content.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change. The effective date above will change with them, and continuing to use the bot after that means accepting the new version.

Licensing

The bot's source code is released under the Doughmination Authorised Source Licence (DASL-1.0). This website's source is released under the MIT Licence.

“Sandrone” is a character from Genshin Impact, used here for a personal fan project. This bot is unofficial and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by HoYoverse or COGNOSPHERE. Genshin Impact and all related names, imagery, and content remain the property of their respective owners.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
